Front Desk / Night Auditor

The successful candidate must be bilingual in Spanish and English and must have the ability to multitask, be detail-oriented, and be able to problem solve in order to effectively deal with internal and external customers. Promptly greets, registers and assigns rooms to guests. Issues room key to guest and informs hotel’s features to guest;

  • Answers telephones and transfers calls, takes messages and answers inquiries;

  • Retrieves bill, collects payment and makes changes for the guests;

  • Makes and confirms reservations;

  • Allows guest access to safety deposit box;

  • Verity’s accuracy of information in room bucket;

  • Complies with all La Posada Hotel Accounting procedures;

  • Assumes MOD responsibilities as needed;

  • Ensures completion of night audit checklist;

  • Is responsible for making sure the daily sales report is completed daily and in balance at all times;

  • Is responsible for the training of all audit staff personnel on all aspects of night audit and customer services;

  • Ensures the Accounting department is aware of all audit discrepancies and daily sales report challenges;

  • Maintains open communication with the Accounting department;

  • Maintains a clean and professional workplace appearance and

  • Projects a professional image through appearance and conduct.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages hotel while on shift, makes necessary judgments when needed and will advice Executive Committee.

Education and/or Experience

Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Human Resource systems; Internet Explorer, Outlook Internet software; Buy Efficient Order processing systems; ADP Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Front Desk Clerk

Job Description and Requirements

Guest Service Agents are responsible for greeting and registering the guest

Providing outstanding guest service during their stay, and settling the guest’s account upon completion of their stay

Making and modifying reservations

Answering phones and directing calls to all proper departments

Front Office Associate must possess a positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service to our guests

Restaurant Server

Job Overview

The purpose of this position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience when dining at Zaragoza Grill. Restaurant Servers are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to our guest needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed. Servers are expected to have some basic restaurant/serving knowledge.

General Responsibilities

  • Prepares the tables, laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are refilled, performing all other preparation tasks.

  • Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items…etc.

  • Handle the table bookings, direct customers to their tables, presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, informing customers about food preparation details, communicating specific customer needs to the cooks.

  • Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.

  • Prepare mixed drinks for service to your customers table.

  • Properly open and pour wine at the tableside.

  • Obtaining revenues, issuing receipts, accepting payments, returning the change.

  • Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.

  • Filling in for absent staff as needed.

  • Assisting with special events as needed.

  • Greet all guests and owners warmly with an appropriate greeting.

  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.

  • Understands and can communicate products and services available at the hotel.

Preferred Job Qualifications

Education:

Experience:

Previous serving experience required.

Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English. Spanish speakers are also a big plus.

License/Qualifications:

Air Condition And Refrigeration Mechanic

Job Overview

Air-conditioning and Cooler Technician or A/C Technician is responsible in conducting maintenance check and repairs for air-con and other cooling or heating system.

General Responsibilities

  • Conduct maintenance check for air-con, heaters and coolers

  • Install Air-con and heaters.

  • Repair damage and dysfunctional air-con, heaters and coolers

  • Check its functions and status

  • Fix and check backage type and Split type

  • Change spare parts

  • Encode the reported damage of the air-con, heaters or cooler

  • Check the its major parts (i.e. Freon)

  • Conduct daily routine for inspections

  • Check leakage

Skills and Competency Requirements

  • Must have wide knowledge and skills in repairing different kinds of Air-Cons and Cooling, heating systems

Kitchen And Laundry Mechanic

Job Overview

Troubleshoot and conduct diagnostics on both A/C & Refrigeration equipment.

Be able to complete minor repairs on both A/C & Refrigeration equipment

General Responsibilities

  • Commercial kitchen equipment maintenance and repairs. i.e. Stoves, fryers, flattops, salamanders, ovens and all other types of equipment normally found in a commercial kitchen environment.

  • Commercial laundry equipment maintenance and repairs. i.e. Commercial washers, driers and ironers and all other types of equipment normally found in a commercial laundry environment.

  • Prioritize, organize and complete work orders.

  • Locate, price and order replacement parts as needed.

  • Complete required paperwork in a timely and accurate fashion.

  • Assists in the development and implementation of a comprehensive preventative maintenance program as it relates to laundry and kitchen assets.

  • Essential Functions of the Job

Maintenance Mechanic

Job Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs in guest suites, meeting space, restaurant and common areas. Guest suite and public area entry-level preventative maintenance are included. The Maintenance Engineer will also perform some repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and laundry equipment.

General Responsibilities

  • Responsible for engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, hotel property, restaurant and grounds.

  • Responds to engineering and maintenance concerns.

  • Performs and/or monitors maintenance and preventative maintenance

  • projects.

  • Responds to all building related safety concerns.

  • Maintains departmental compliance with hotel maintenance procedures.

  • Supports hotel departmental maintenance programs and executes daily,

  • weekly and monthly checklists.

  • Assists in the supervision of temporary maintenance associates.

  • Assist management in specifying proper supplies and equipment for

  • operations.

  • Deals with guest related concerns.

  • Maintain the guest rooms, public space, and back of the hotel areas in

  • good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and tiling to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel.

  • Must possess knowledgeable of basic hand/power tool operation.

  • Clean and maintain pool and spa area.

Preferred Job Qualifications

  • Previous construction or hotel maintenance department supervisory or management experience.

  • At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.

  • Should have basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and

  • carpentry concepts.

  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).

  • Must be available to respond to emergencies when not physically at the job site.

  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management,

  • coworkers and vendors.

  • Ability to work a variety of varying schedules.
